Dear JAYC Foundation,

Our group is a part of the Child Abduction Response Team in partnership with the Tacoma Police Department and the FBI. In July we attended a training put on by the JAYC Foundation that specifically addressed reunification and treatment of families who have experienced a familial or non-familial abduction. The trainers included Dr. Rebecca Bailey, Dr. Joanne Lippert, Jane Dickel and other members of their team.

We were incredibly impressed with the level of expertise, commitment to providing effective treatment and the collaboration between team members during the course of the training. The team pulled from experts in relevant areas including law enforcement and individuals with who were able to share their own personal experiences from both the parent and child perspective. Over the course of the two days our team was walked through experiential exercises including horses, food and walking through actual case examples.

Following the training our team felt much more prepared to handle child abduction cases that may occur or have occurred in our community. We are incredibly grateful for the time and energy that was put behind the training and the individuals who took the time to help us learn about this topic.

Sincerely,
