The JAYC Foundation has been asked to participate in two conferences coming up, with others awaiting approval. The Team will be in St. Joseph, Missouri in April presenting at the Missouri Western State University Conference on Child Abuse Investigation. While there, the team will again visit Kansas City, Missouri for another LEO Workshop with the Kansas City Police Department and the Mounted Patrol.
Later in April the Team will again travel to Missouri, this time to Springfield, to participate in the Eighth Annual Conference on Family and Sexual Violence with the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services. There will be two parts to our participation: The first will be “Inspiring The Criminal Justice Response: Lessons Learned from the Garrido Case”; followed by the second titled “Building Protected Spaces: Courage, Compassion, and Curiosity/Emotional Heroism: A New Skill Set for Your Work”.
We are very excited to be able to be able to spread the information we have gathered and to share our work with others. Keep checking back for new events, as there are many in the works for this year.
