On March 3rd and 4th The JAYC Foundation in collaboration with The Red Barn presented the Pony Express curriculum for two very full days at the Red Oak Adolescent Recovery program in North Carolina. The training was focused on introducing the philosophy and spirit of the Pony Express Curriculum to the newly forming program, including emphasis on teamwork,
compassion, awareness, and mindfulness. The horses and most of the team were new to the experience of Equine facilitated interventions. Everyone, including the horses, seemed to take to the premise that partnering together to learn the core values of the JAYC curriculum was not only fun but could help the world be a better place.
Thank you to Joy and Alexis of the Red Barn, as always, for helping facilitate this event in order to bring our work to others.
