Key Chain with Charm

The process used to make the pine cone jewelry is called "lost wax casting". Each cone is handpicked from high altitude alder trees in Lake Tahoe, California. The cone is then covered in a high heat plaster and baked at 1,500 degrees until the pine cone is reduced to ash - thus leaving a perfect mold. Sterling silver is injected into the empty mold and left to cool before it is ultimately polished into a beautiful piece of jewelry. Each mold is used only once... there are no two pieces of pine cone jewelry that are alike.

Key Chain: Steel plated with nickel. 1 inch in diameter.

Pine Cone Charm: Sterling silver. Sizes vary. Approximately 1 inch tall (including the key chain loop) by half an inch wide.
